Scalable Design System For Healthline Apps
Healthline.com manages many online communities related to health conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), breast cancer, Crohn's disease, etc. People with these health conditions primarily seek social support and health-related research and information online and on these communities. We were to develop not one app but an app platform which can deploy many similar but custom-built apps respective to the health conditions natively on iOS and Android platforms.
It was an engineering, design, and product team ballé that produced an internal turn-key app deployment tool with superior, tailored and tested user-experience.
Why the Platform?
The successful adoption of MS Buddy by the Multiple Sclerosis community cemented a need for a social app for people with other conditions such as Breast Cancer and Crohn's Disease (IBD). Instead of building the apps from scratch and having to maintain and care for them separately, which are extremely resource-heavy, we set out to build a single platform which can churn out apps with consistent design customizable as per the user's needs.
